Outcome:

![]()
Now create an applied image (step 1.) and then apply the Ocean Ripple Filter. This filter can be found under the Distort sub menu. Use medium to high settings. Now set this layer’s blending mode to Lighten and erase the bulk of it. Now create a new layer, and add a lens flare (filter > render > lens flare) and then hit Ctrl + U to desaturate it. Now go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur and choose 5-10px. Now set this layer to hard light where you want your light source to be. If you want to do the typically brushing, then smudging with a small round brush, then blurring, go ahead. Do which ever you think is easier or works better for you.

![]()
Now make yet another applied image and apply the Filter > Distort > Glass filter to this layer. Now erase almost everything, leaving the most visible sections of this layer around your light source that you just made in the last step.

![]()
Now take out a soft round brush at around 200-300px big, and brush around your lighting source. If needed, go to filter > blur > gaussian blur and choose something that you think looks better. Now set this layer to Overlay and leave the opacity high if not 100%.

![]()
Yet again make an applied image. Now to make a nice glowing effect, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur. Choose between 3-10 pixels. Now set this layer to lighten and erase parts that you think don’t suite your signature.

![]()
Make yet ANOTHER applied image, and go to Edit > Transform > Free transform. Now right click (within your canvas) and click flip horizontal. Now erase the bulk of it except for a few strips contrasting the flow of your signature. The general flow os this signature is up and to the left, so in this case, the strips go down (or up, it’s all in how you see it) and towards the left.

![]()
Add the following adjustment layers:
On Normal at 100% opacity:

On Soft Light at 40-50% opacity:

![]()
Now add a small vector shape on top of your lighting, this is optional. Now make a new layer and make an applied image. Now grab a smudge tool (probably the same one you used earlier) and smudge it like crazy. Now set this layer to around 50% opacity on screen. Now your done! Add a border and text if you’d like. There is none on this signature though.
