Start off by finding a good sprite and adding it into your signature (click here to get the one I used). Now select a color either from your sprite or a color that compliments it and fill the background with that color.

Now, you will need to have some Cinema 4D (C4D) renders. These can be found at just about any of the graphics sites on the web, and also on our c4d renders page. Now, these are “effect” renders, or renders that still have a black background and only really look good when they are set to Lighten, Screen, Color Dodge, or Linear Dodge. To start off, place some renders and recolor them to go with your sprite. Now duplicate them all so there is 2 of each c4d you have placed into the signature. Now to the bottom duplicate of each C4D render apply the Filter > Distort > Ripple filter to it. Now you should have one Rippled C4D and one Regular C4D effect render. Set these layers to Color Dodge or Screen.

Now add these following Adjustment Layers. To add an adjustment layer, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > *Pick Adjustment Layer*.
Color Balance: Normal, 100% Opacity.
Gradient Map: Multiply, 25% Opacity.

Now create an applied image. To do this, create a new layer, then go to Image > Apply Image. Now go to Filter > Liquify. Now mess it up but make sure that it still goes with the flow of your signature. Now set this layer to lighten and lower the opacity to about 20%.

Create another applied image like in the last step, but this time go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur. Now set this layer to Lighten and move it down and to the left a little bit. Erase around your sprite so that it does not get distorted.

Repeat step 5, but don’t move the layer this time.

Now create another applied image and go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter. Use low to medium settings. Now set this layer to Lighten and lower the opacity to about 40%. Erase around the render and in the corners where there is no C4D.

Repeat step 7, but this time erase everything but the lower edge. Set this layer to Screen at 100% opacity. This should make the bottom section of your signature a lot brighter.

Add the following gradient map adjustment layer on Soft light on 15% opacity.

Add a bit more c4d to the signature. In this case it is set to Linear dodge.
