I’ve already created a leather-like effect for my background, and now I only need a gold text on the front.

How do i use Adobe Photoshop to make it so that the text will look as if if it’s embossed into the leather?

Any tutorials or advice is appreciated!

I love this effect and have no idea what steps i need to take to get it.
Any help would be fabulous. I have photoshop – the full program…so that’s what i am working with.

This is done with layers. The main picture with the body has a lens transaprency effect where you can control how much transparency the main pic has over the background.

The background are jsut copy/paste of the head shot but again, with a transparency filter to set it in the background.

Open a black background and copy/paste the headshot on it. Move them around and add a different transaprency to each one to attain the affect you want.

I’ve seen a style of picture that is really neat. Pretend there is a picture of an empty dining room. Now the subject would go stand or sit various places in the dining room and the photographer would take a picture of each new place the subject was located in. And at the end, the final picture shows all of these pictures together as if there were 10 clones of the same person. How is this effect done?

Open each picture in a different layer. Create a layer mask on each layer, except the bottom one. Then let all of the clones through in each of the masks. You don’t have to be very precise on the masks, as long as you get everybody through. To make sure it is smooth do a 3-5 pixel Gaussian on the masks. Touch up any of the masks that look a little weird.

Does anyone know the technical term and/or how to do a similar effect in photoshop like in this picture? Like how it’s all lighted in the center but fades to black on the sides.

i think your looking for the word, vignette.

When I make text on photoshop and add an effect on it, I save it as a photoshop document and when I put it on final cut express, the effect is gone, how can I make it stay

Export it as a *.jpg or *.jpeg or *.png etc. Anything that FCE recognizes that isn’t a *.psd

How do i do the effect used on the man here?

hey . I’m Nana I’ll try to help you out.
once we did something similar in class.
I think for this one you can use The Gaussian blur Filter then
you will need to change the layer blending mode to color dodge.After all that you can play with the Art or History brushes to get the effect you want I hope this will help .Please let me know

How can I give photos a film a effect in photoshop?thanks

First of all you need to either find or photograph or otherwise create the negative strip part. That will then sit on top of the other layer(s).

As to the coloring: desaturate the photos, apply a sepia filter or go duo tone.
If you like the lighting effects from those examples, you can use a flare brush or lighting effect or dodge the area, etc.

Sparkle effect in photoshop, make your renders shine and light up, This works great for magazine ads or any type of ads. easy on the eyes and easy to do.
