How do I upload Fonts to Photoshop without having to go to the photos(I have a free downloaded version)?

Wednesday Jul 28, 2010

I have the free version of photoshop, and I dont have the Font folder, so i cant go to the folder. Dose anyone else have the free version, and knows were to go to upload fonts without going to the folder.

To add fonts to Photoshop you simply have to add them to your Windows font folder. That folder is located under Windows (C:\Windows\Fonts). You simply paste your font files into that folder, restart Photoshop and voluae you have new fonts in Photoshop (and every other program).

How do i install the paintbrushes and fonts to Photoshop?

Thursday Jul 8, 2010

i downloaded free fonts and paintbrushes for photoshop cs4 but i dont know what to do next. help.

Photoshop reads your Windows fonts. Just install them as yow would any other font. For Paint brushes, put your abr file into the Presets/Brushes subfolder of the the Photoshop folder. You’ll find it in the Program Files or Applications location on your machine. For Windows the full path looks very similar to this:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Brushes

After the file is located in this folder, you then have to load the brushes from inside Photoshop

♦ Select the Brush tool
♦ Select the pull-down list from the Options Bar at the top of the canvas
♦ Click the sideways triangle at the upper right of the listing
♦ Select your brush set from the list
♦ Click Append
♦ The new brushes will now appear at the end of the list

Why Does Photoshop Make Fonts Look Terrible?

Friday Jun 18, 2010

I have some nice fonts, but I cant get them to look good in Photoshop. How can I change this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the edges are looking chewed up, there’s a good chance you don’t have anti-aliasing on.

I don’t know if these instructions work with CS4, but they do with earlier versions.

Double click right on the T icon of your text layer in the layer palette to select the text and bring up the layer tools at the top of Photoshop. You should see pulldowns for the Font, the Font Style, the Font Size and Anti-Aliasing is the 4th one. If it says None in the 4th box, pull down and select something else. I usually use Sharp (I think that’s the default).

If you aren’t seeing this at the top of Photoshop, go to the Window pulldown menu and select Options. That will bring it up.

If that isn’t your problem, you might want to do a screen shot of what you are working on – showing the text palette / tools and what the problem is and upload it so we can see it.

How do I use Adobe photoshop fonts in Word?

Monday Apr 26, 2010

Some fonts that come bundled with Photoshop don’t show up in the font list for Microsoft Word. I know there’s a way to extract them from the Windows file for Photoshop and install them in the general "Fonts" folder, but how do I do that?
BountyJack — this is not true. Adobe’s hotoshop fonts are *not* automatically installed in the operating system. I need someone who’s VERY familiar with Photoshop on a PC to answer this…

You could run a search of your system for .ttf files and copy and paste them into the the Fonts folder of the Control Panel. Pasting them in the folder should automatically install the fonts. You may need to restart any open applications before the fonts are present.

How do I download my personal fonts to photoshop elements 7?

Sunday Jun 14, 2009

I have been trying for a long time to upload my fonts onto photoshop elements 7 but what I've been trying hasn't been working. Any ideas?

I'm not certain about Photoshop 7, because I have an older version but I have gotten new fonts to work in Photoshop CS. Have you installed the fonts on your computer in the control panel? After doing that the new fonts should become available in Photoshop. At least that's how it's worked for me.
