Where can i find a guide that can help me understand and use adobe photoshop 7?
Posted by admin | Under photoshop guide Wednesday Jul 28, 2010Thank you for your answers!
I would really suggest starting at Lynda http://www.lynda.com/home/ViewCourses.aspx?lpk0=391
They are some of the most user friendly and fun. the first 3 to 5 are free.
The other place to go is Adobe, the design center rocks http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/
A fun inspirational site is PSDtuts http://psd.tutsplus.com/ it is advanced but it will help inspire you.
If you are into books I recommend the Photoshop CS4, Volume 1: Visual QuickStart Guide.
Photoshop guide site: cant remember name!?
Posted by admin | Under photoshop guide Thursday Jul 8, 2010I remember there is a guide site for tons of things, from web design to photoshop to other adobe products and such. You could pay like 15$ a month for all these guides, (videos with voices) and I cant remember the name of it, can anyone give me a link?
uh, not quite what i was looking for, i think the site i am thinking of is more broad, it has a lot of different programs it teaches about, itll have like: Photographers Photoshop Guide: and have 19 parts or so. Idk how much this helps but i think the site is named after some lady lol
NVM FOUND IT! lynda.com
Sorry if this is not what you are seeking, but it is all I can think of. Perhaps you mean the NAPP, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

ADD: Great! Glad you found it. Yeah, I have been to the Lynda site. There are lots of tutorials there on Corel Paint program, but like you say, there is lots of other great info there too. Thanks for reminding me of it also!

What is a guide, book or tutorial for fashion photographers to learn photoshop.?
Posted by admin | Under photoshop guide Sunday May 30, 2010I just got a canon 5d mk11 and I am looking for a photoshop book that would help me take my photos to the next level.
Keep in mind I already know alot in photoshop and my work is already on the highend side so I am not a newbie and I am not looking for a discriptive book thats tells me what each tool is. I am looking for moreso a guide.
I am a fashion photographer and don’t use Photoshop anymore. I switched to Adobe Lightroom last year and it is a much better program for photographers.. After all it was designed for photographers and thus has all the tools we need for our workflow.
If you are suggesting that you want to learn how to also be a post production, design or prepress professional, I suggest you invest some time attending classes on those subjects and work a few years as an assistant to working pros. This is the same advice I give to beginning photographers, but already being a fashion photographer, you know that end of the business.
I spend so much time finding work, planning shoots with clients and then shooting the models on location or in the studio, I frankly do not have time to spend learning post production, let alone actually do it. If I spend more than five minutes on each of the contracted images I turn over to my clients as DNG files, I have in someway blown the shoot. As you know, pre-shoot prep and perfect execution of the session, reduces the number of missed shots and assures happy clients.

Whats the best guide book for editing digital portraits on photoshop 7. I am new to photo editing?
Posted by admin | Under photoshop guide Tuesday May 11, 2010I have brought Photoshop 7 for dummies and couldn’t really see anything in it about editing people, skin tones and airbrushing. I would be very gratefull if you could guide me in the right direction for a guide book to help me on this matter?
Have a look at http://www.dcmag.co.uk/ and although it mainly covers CS3 and elements, there is not a lot of difference.
Also, join http://www.redbubble.com/ where you will be able to join groups like those listed below.
