I'm trying to create a forum signature without buying photoshop, what's the best program that can do this?

I love GIMP. And it is free!

Look out though, it has alot of tools and can get complicated if you don't have the time to play with it.

This is just a simple tutorial on how to use the Color Balance effect, make a pop out type signature and shows how to use the blending options. Not very difficult, its just an easy signature tutorial.

I'd like to add a professional looking signature to my email. I have Photoshop. How do I add HTML to it so that people can click on it and it will take them to my website?
Ok, forget the fact that I said "professional". How do I make a jpeg a link with HTML?

And "pretty" is 90% of my business

Well, you don't need, and should not use, Photoshop for a professional signature in your email. Maybe if you wanted a non-professional signature…and you wanted it for MySpace…

Anyhow, truth is…professional signatures have no tricks, no HTML. Just the website name. There is a good reasons for this…many people disable HTML in their Email clients. This means they won't see your site at all in some cases, or they will see HTML code instead (probably worse..).

A truly professional signature in an email will be plain text, and will have the actual address of your website. Remember, the internet is about information, not prettiness. Convey the information in the most usable format available to you, and you'll never go wrong. Especially if you're trying to garner traffic for your website.

Ive Googled 'photoshop sig tuts' and they all require images i cant get a hand on or they require brushes which i can't get either. Anyone know of a good and simple one? Thanks
