Is it possible to create a fisheye effect with photoshop, without buying a fisheye lens?
Posted by admin | Under photoshop effect Sunday Nov 16, 2008
I just bought a Nikon D40 and I don't have the money to buy a fisheye lens because I am a poor college student..But I did get my hands on photoshop, which I have found a couple of ways to sort of make a fisheye effect, but none look real. Are there any programs or different ways around this to get that real fisheye effect?
Did you try Filter/Distort/Spherize or Filter/Liquify/Bloat Tool?
These are about the only standard Photoshop filters that can partially simulate a fisheye.

The downside is that the software seems to want to catalogue, organize and generally take over every photo you ever load into it. Which is the only reason I don't have it on my computer.

Filter// Distort// Lens Correction..
try this,
-open an image with photoshop,
-go to a Filter// Distort// Lens Correction, after that,
-try to change the Remove Distortion, by dragging it to + or -.
make sure it's not too much.
-if the image is not clear because of the grids, below the image you'll see Show Grid option ticked. uncheck the box.
-after ure finish, click OK
- then you'll have to crop your image, a bit.
i think this is better than spherize. coz spherize is too much, but u can also try to use Spherize option if you'd like.Coz Spherize option has existed since the previous and onld series of PS.
ps: make sure you have a reference with you so you'll know when it is close enough to the real fish eye image.
good luck then!
